TAG Holdings Named to
Black Enterprise 2013
Top 100 List
Each year, Black Enterprise (BE) magazine compiles and publishes the BE Industrial/Service 100 which is a list of the 100 largest Black-owned businesses. TAG's appearance on the 2013 BE Industrial/Service 100 list marks the company's 11th consecutive appearance on the list.

TAG Acquires Shared Vision
TAG Holdings has completed the acquisition of Shared Vision. This acquisition expands TAG's defense and aerospace manufacturing and services portfolio.
Shared Vision, founded as Schwartz Industries in 1963, specializes in the manufacturing of complex, high-performance machined parts for demanding applications. The company has a long history of supplying the defense and aerospace industries.
Under the new ownership, Shared Vision will retain its headquarters and manufacturing presence in Warren, MI, and management will have the autonomy to execute its business plan under the direction of the TAG executive team.

TAG Sells North American Assemblies to Plant Manager
In a strategic move that demonstrates TAG's commitment to fulfilling its Vision of generating success within the minority community, North American Assemblies, LLC (NAA), located in Timmonsville, SC has been sold to the company's General Manager, James R. Tolston, III, who is African-American.

TAG Chairman and CEO Honored as Man of Excellence
TAG Chairman and CEO Joseph B. Anderson, Jr., has been named one of the Michigan Chronicle's Men of Excellence for 2012. The Michigan Chronicle touts the recipients of this honor as "Men of achievement and stature who not only have professional success to their credit but who are beacons for the African-American community throughout the region." Anderson, selected as one of the 50 men from the metro Detroit community, was honored in a ceremony on June 28, 2012 at the Weston Book Cadillac Hotel.

TAG Holdings Completes Acquisition of Barton Manufacturing
With the 100 percent acquisition of Barton Manufacturing located in Decatur, Ill, TAG Holdings takes another step in the diversification of its customer base. The company also gains capabilities and capacities needed to further exploit opportunities in growth markets.
Barton Manufacturing is a Tier 1 supplier providing metal fabrication and precision machining of large weldments to Fortune 100 companies. Founded in 1993, the company serves the mining, construction and road development industries.

Based on 2010 revenue, TAG Holdings came in at number five on the 2011 Black Enterprise 100, a list of the nation’s largest Black businesses. TAG Holdings has made the list every year since 2003 when it debuted at position 63.

Sale of Automotive Companies Fulfils TAG's Vision and Positions the Company for Future Growth
TAG’s recent sale of its modular assembly group to a long-time manager, signals the company’s commitment to a product portfolio that is broadly positioned across many platforms. In addition, the transaction marks the achievement of the corporate vision which states:
The vision of TAG is to create an entrepreneurial environment that will lead to a legacy of business asset ownership within the minority community that will generate success opportunities in subsequent generations.
The acquisition of the modular assembly group, composed of three automotive supply companies, by the former TAG employee, makes the new owner of the companies one of the largest business owners in the state of Ohio.
Throughout its history, TAG has operated from a position of financial strength. The increased financial strength gained from the sale of the three companies positions TAG to gain the capacity and capabilities necessary to provide a robust range of products and services to the aerospace, defense, construction and medical industries.

TAG a Leader on Detroit Crain's List of Black Owned Business in Southeastern Michigan
For the second straight year, TAG Holdings is listed as number two on the Detroit Crain's List of Largest Black-Owned Businesses. Detroit Crain's has tracked Blacked owned businesses in southeastern Michigan since 1986 when the combined revenue of the listed companies was $188.4 million. Today the combined revenue is $2.47 billion and TAG's 2010 revenue of $533 million accounts for more than 20 percent of the revenue generated by the companies on the list.

TAG Listed as Number Seven on Black Enterprise Magazine's 2010 Top 100 List
Based on 2009 revenue, TAG Holdings came in at number seven with $533 million on the 2010 Black Enterprise list of the nation’s largest Black industrial/companies. TAG Holdings' first appearance on the list was in 2003. Since that time, TAG has become a fixture on the list.

With $533 million in revenue in 2010, TAG was listed at position 29 on this year's Detroit Crain's Private 200 List. The annual list tracks the 200 largest privately-held companies in Southeast Michigan based on revenue.

TAG Holdings Divests Interest in Vibration Control Technologies
After more than eight years of partnership with Freudenberg NOK, TAG sold its interests in the joint venture company,
Vibration Control Technologies, LLC, (VCT), to Vibracoustic North America
(VNA). This transaction was a strategic purchase by VNA to align the
business globally with Vibracoustic Europe and a successful
divestiture for TAG.

TAG Holdings Launches Wolverine Assemblies, LLC
In a move that enables TAG to provide services to a broader range of industries, Wolverine Assemblies is launched as a supplier of supply chain and modular assembly services. The company, located in Wixom, MI, and led by Steve Sperlazza, who led another TAG company to capture a Shingo award, will target the aerospace, automotive, medical and defense industries.

TAG Continues to Climb Detroit Crain’s List of Top Minority Suppliers
TAG Holdings climbed to position two on Detroit Crain's List of Largest Black-Owned Businesses, based on 2008 revenues of $753.
The list recognizes the 25 largest black-owned businesses in southeastern Michigan. TAG moved up one place this year, from number three in 2007, following only Bridgewater Interiors at the top of the list.

TAG Holdings is named to the Automotive News list of Top 150 Suppliers for the second straight year. The list ranks North American automotive suppliers by sales of original equipment parts.

TAG Moves up Eight Places on Crain's Private 200 List
The aggressive growth of revenue in 2008 bumped TAG up to 25th place on Crain's Private 200 List. The company occupied the 33rd position in 2009. The strong revenue increase was the result of continued robust organic growth from TAG portfolio companies and the launching of a new TAG company, Indiana Assemblies, a supplier of tire and wheel assemblies.

Honda of America Manufacturing Awards Third Business to TAG Holdings
After several years of outstanding performance, TAG is the recipient of a third tire and wheel assembly business from Honda of America Manufacturing. The new company, Indiana Assemblies, LLC, is located in Greensburg, IN and provides modular chassis assembly products and supply chain management services to a Honda assembly plant also located in Greensburg, IN.

TAG moved up six places to the number six spot on the Black Enterprise (BE) 100, a list of the nation’s largest Black businesses. When TAG's CEO Joseph B. Anderson, Jr. was interviewed by BE about the success he attributed it to the pursuit of non-Detroit based automotive companies as they gained market share in the U.S.

In its first time making the Automotive News list of the Largest Suppliers to North America ranked by sales of original equipment parts in 2007, TAG is placed at number 82. TAG's automotive sales in 2007 was $566.

TAG Moves up 10 Places on Crain’s Private 200 List
With 2007 revenues aggressively growing to $605 million, TAG has been ranked number 33 on Crain’s Private 200 List, moving up a full ten places from last year’s ranking of number 43. The strong revenue increase was due to continued robust organic growth by some of TAG's portfolio companies, as well as, the launching of a new TAG company, Gulf Shore Assemblies in 2007.

TAG Makes Crain's List of Largest Black-Owned Business
TAG Holdings is number four on the Crain's List of Largest Black-Owned Business. The list recognizes the 25 largest black-owned businesses in southeastern Michigan, based on 2006 revenue. Other companies rounding out the top five companies on the list include Prestige Automotive in the number one spot, Bridgewater Interiors at number two, Barden Companies at three, and Integrated Manufacturing and Assembly at number five.

TAG CEO Receives Honorary Doctor of Management Degree
Joseph B. Anderson, Jr., chairman and CEO of TAG Holdings, received an Honorary Doctor of Management degree from Kettering University at the June commencement. Mr. Anderson also delivered the commencement address. Kettering University, located in Flint, MI is known for top ranked undergraduate programs in engineering, math, science and business.

TAG Holdings is among the 100 largest African American-owned service/industrial firms in the country, according to Black Enterprise (BE) magazine. TAG moved up two spots this year to 12th place on the 2007 Annual BE 100s list, a ranking conducted annually for black-owned businesses.

May 2007 TAG Holdings' one-year revenue growth, from $340 million in 2005 to $445 million in 2006 makes it one of the top companies on the Crain's Private 200 list. The increased revenue moved the company up seven places on the list, from number 50 last year to number 43 on this year's list. The strong revenue increase was due to robust organic growth across all TAG companies.

Gulf Shore Assemblies Begins Operations
TAG Holdings' newest portfolio company, Gulf Shore Assemblies, LLC (GSA), is a manufacturing facility located in Lincoln, Alabama that provides modular assembly and supply chain management services for Honda. GSA is co-located on the Honda Manufacturing of Alabama campus.

TAG Moves Up on Black Enterprise 100 List
TAG Holdings' 2005 revenues of $340 million elevated the company from 33rd on Black Enterprise magazine's Industrial/Service 100 list in 2005 to 14th position in 2006. The company's stellar sales increase enabled it to move ahead of several nationally known companies.
TAG also ranked number one on the Black Enterprise Top 10 Sales Growth Leaders list. TAG's 230% growth was nearly twice that of the next closest company.
Black Enterprise magazine publishes annual lists of the largest black-owned firms in America.

TAG Makes Top Quartile of the 2006 Crain's Private 200 List
TAG Holdings' 230% sales increase in 2005 enabled the company to climb 67 places on the 2006 Crain's Detroit Business Private 200 List. The company moved from position 117 in 2005 to position 50 in 2006, surpassing companies such as R.L. Polk and Company, ASC Inc., Jervis B. Webb Co., Belle Tire and Saturn Electronics. The increase in sales was largely due to the January 2005 launch of the new TAG company, Great Lakes Assemblies, LLC (GLA). GLA, a joint venture between TAG and Honda affiliate Midwest Express Inc., provides tire and wheel assemblies for Honda cars, trucks and motorcycles.
Crain's Detroit Business also recognized TAG as the number one company on the List of Biggest Gainers. TAG grew at more than twice the rate of the second fastest growing company on the list.
The Crain's Private 200 list ranks privately owned southeastern Michigan companies by revenue.
